Do I feel social anxiety?

Welcome to iHub!

If this is your first time here we would like to say a big hello and welcome to the iHUB Community! The main purpose of this community is to give you an easy way to communicate with other students that experience social anxiety or shyness.

Registering as a community member

Before you start using the iHUB you will need to register using your University email address. You will then be asked to choose a username (pseudonym) and password. You can add an image to represent yourself and add details onto your profile. Once registered you can log on at any time.

Safety On-Line

This is your community board so please help to ensure it is used appropriately.

If you do spot or suspect abuse (e.g. the posting of offensive materials or harassment) please email us a message with brief details of the problem. This will be sent automatically to the moderator.

If any user is found to be acting inappropriately they will receive a warning message and, should the problem continue access will be withdrawn.

You might decide at some point to make yourself known directly to other iHUB users. (Maybe, for example, you've decided you want to meet someone for a coffee because you've been communicating on-line for a while and seem to have a lot in common). This is great as the iHUB is designed to promote social networking. However, do remember to take the same common sense precautions that you would adopt if you were, say dating, a relative stranger for the first time. For example, arrange to meet in a place where others are present and let someone know who you are meeting with and where you are going, take a mobile, etc.
